Several hundred square feet of carpeting was replaced in the Library around the computer workstations. This new carpeting reduces the trip hazards associated with the worn-out carpeting in those areas. The project of deaccessioning bound periodicals that are held by Reed Library in other formats or as part of the Empire Shared Collection is continuing. When completed, this project will create space for relocating collections, and expanding services to our students.

Beginning on January 24, 2017, the Reed Library Archives & Special Collections will have public hours on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays, 1:00 - 4:00 p.m., with the exception of holidays and other scheduled closures (please consult the Reed Library calendar ). We strongly suggest you contact us prior to your visit by submitting a research request form or calling +1 716-673-3183. Advance notice is greatly appreciated and allows us time to assess your research needs and retrieve materials.

Reed Library will have reference hours on Sundays for the spring semester! Sunday hours begin on the first Sunday of the semester, January 22, and continue through the final Sunday of the semester, May 7, breaks and holidays excepted. Reference service on Sundays will be available from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. In addition, weekday reference service will be extended. Reference will be available from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Thursday, and from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Fridays.
