Reed Library Hours and Services December 19, 2020 to January 29, 2021

Reed Library hours from December 19 through January 29:   Saturday, December 19 - Sunday, January 3 closed Monday, January 4 - Sunday, January 17 Monday through Friday - Open by appointment only. If current Fredonia students, faculty, or staff would like to use the building, please call ahead - 673-3184. Saturday and Sunday - closed   Monday, January 18 (Martin Luther King Day) closed Tuesday, January 19 - Friday, January 29 Monday through Friday - 9 am to 4 pm* Saturday and Sunday - closed *Please note that the main library doors shut at 3:45pm to prepare the building for closing. Please note that until further notice, Reed Library is open only to current Fredonia students, faculty, and staff. Returning Or Renewing Library Materials Prior To Friday, December 18, 2020

Reed Library encourages students, faculty, and staff to return library materials (books, scores, DVDs, and CDs) prior to Friday, December 18, 2020.  Returning Materials: Students, faculty, and staff can return materials to any service point in Reed Library during library hours. Returns are also welcome in any of the three campus book drops ( map of book drop locations ).   Students, faculty, and staff who have already left campus are welcome to mail materials back to: Reed Library SUNY Fredonia 280 Central Ave. Fredonia, NY 14063 Students, faculty, and staff are also welcome to return books at participating SUNY institutions . Returns will be reflected in your library account 72-96 hours after receipt due to the mandatory quarantine period. All fines will be waived, and all blocks will be removed from your account when overdue materials are returned.  Renewing Materials: Do you need to keep your items longer? Reopening Reed Library for the Fall 2020 Semester

Reed Library’s core mission is to provide quality services and to collect, organize, disseminate, teach, and facilitate access to information in support of the curricular needs of SUNY Fredonia’s students and faculty, as well as the intellectual needs of the broader SUNY Fredonia community. Despite the challenges of COVID-19, our mission remains the same. In accordance with the  Returning to Fredonia  plan, Reed Library plans to open Saturday, August 22 , the weekend prior to the first day of Fall 2020 classes . While some services and resources have changed in modality, access mostly remains the same.  The following are the Fall 2020 reopening plans for Reed Library, which provides an overview of what to expect when you visit.
