Reed Library entrances closed July 18-19

On Tuesday, July 18 and Wednesday, July 19, the outside entrance to Reed Library near Maytum Hall will be closed due to construction. Two of the entrances to McEwen Hall remain closed.

During this period, two entrances to the Library will be open (shown above as blue stars). Patrons can enter the Library by entering Maytum Hall (black arrow), then taking the stairs or elevator down to the ground floor. On exiting the staircase or elevator, turn right toward the mail room, then turn right by the mail room to pass through a door into a long hallway. Follow this hallway through a set of doors to turn right, and follow that hallway to the Library's entrance on your left.

In addition, the entrance to McEwen Hall (teal arrow) nearest the Library's entrance remains open. The nearest parking for both these entrances is Symphony Circle, by Maytum Hall and Rockefeller Arts Center.

Patrons who require an elevator can use the route through Maytum Hall; the ramp into Maytum Hall is located on the side of the building nearest Reed Library, ending near the Symphony Circle bus stop. When using this entrance, the elevators will be immediately on your right. Patrons using a wheelchair are encouraged to call ahead to the Circulation Desk at 716-673-3184 so a Library staff member can facilitate access from Maytum Hall to the Library.

If you have any questions or concerns, please contact the Reed Library Reference Desk at 716-673-3222 or reedref@fredonia.edu.
