Alternative access to Library digital content

Due to rising subscription costs, Reed Library has assessed the usage and content of our databases. As a result of our assessments, we have made the difficult decision to end our subscriptions to Artstor, The Chronicle of Higher Education Premium Edition, and ProQuest Social Sciences Premium Collection. In order to make the transition away from these databases as easy as possible, we offer the following information:

• Artstor will be unavailable as of January 1, 2019. A list of Artstor collections and alternative access points is available on the Library’s website.
• The Chronicle of Higher Education Premium Edition will be unavailable as of July 1, 2018. The Chronicle is still available in print in the Library, and online via Academic OneFile or Academic Search Complete. Instructions on creating an automated alert e-mail via either database are available through the Library’s website.
• ProQuest Social Sciences Premium Collection will be unavailable as of July 1, 2018. The following databases offer key journals previously accessed via this collection:
• Criminal Justice: SocINDEX, PsycINFO
• Education: Education Source, ERIC
• Political Science: SocINDEX, Academic Search Complete
