Reed Library is pleased to offer a trial of the OpinionArchives database. OpinionArchives includes the full backfiles of several landmark American magazines: American Spectator Americas Quarterly Commentary Commonweal Dissent Harper's Magazine LaFollettes Moment The Nation The National Review The New Leader The New Republic The New Yorker Orion The Progressive Washington Monthly Weekly Standard OpinionArchives is accessible from the link above, or from the Databases tab on the Library's homepage. The library will be open with extended hours for Study Week and Finals Week: Sunday, May 6: 12 noon - 2 a.m. Monday, May 7 - Thursday, May 10: 7:30 a.m. - 2 a.m. Friday, May 12: 7:30 a.m. - 10 p.m. Saturday, May 13: 12 noon - 10 p.m. Sunday, May 13: 12 noon - 2 a.m. Monday, May 14 - Thursday, May 17: 7:30 a.m. - 2 a.m. Friday, May 18: 7:30 a.m. - 5 p.m. The Library Classroom will be open through the end of Finals Week for additional quiet study space. Reference Librarians are here to help with research; finding books, journal articles, and other materials; and using databases and all library resources. See Reed Library's website for Reference Desk hours, as well as ways students, faculty, and staff can receive research assistance. The library is closed Saturday, May 19 and Sunday, May 20. Summer hours begin Monday, May 21: weekdays, 8 a.m. - 4 p.m.

Reed Library will be hosting the following events as part of the Counseling Center's De-Stress for Success program: Stress-Free Zone: Take a timeout from your hectic schedule and relax with various stress relieving activities including: coloring, crafts and games. Monday 5/7 through Thursday 5/17 Paws to Relax: Pet and play with certified therapy dogs. Monday 5/14 and Tuesday 5/15, noon - 1 p.m. Freeze Pops and Frisbees: Relax with free Freeze Pops and Frisbees. Wednesday 5/16 and Thursday 5/17, 11 a.m. - noon

We're delighted to announce that as of today, the Garden at Reed is open for the season. Come enjoy the sunshine in our outdoor courtyard. Open hours through May 18 are from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m., Monday through Friday. Beginning May 21, open hours will be 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday through Friday.
